Applications of low-pressure, high-volume compressed air dryers

The same warehouse transports different raw materials between different countries. In this case, warehouse cleaning becomes the most important link in ensuring that goods are not contaminated.

Comparison of various suction machine performances

Different adsorption regeneration methods will have differences in drying depth, air consumption, working cycle, equipment structure, etc., each with its own characteristics.

Process system

The model, quantity of air compressors, and air supply systems with different air quality and pressure should be determined based on air supply requirements, compressed air load, and technical and economic comparisons. Within the compressed air station, the number of reciprocating or screw air compressors should be 3-6 units. For air supply systems of the same quality and pressure, the number of air compressor models should not exceed two. The number of centrifugal air compressors should be 2-5 units, and the same model should be used.

Purification of respiratory gases

Unlike the oxygen used in hospitals, the breathing gas used by divers often comes from compressed air delivered by a compressor. In the past, the working conditions for divers were extremely harsh. Not only was the breathing gas unpurified, but the use of old oil-lubricated compressors resulted in a large amount of gaseous oil vapor being inhaled into the divers' lungs, causing long-term damage to their health. With the changing social values towards human life, many salvage bureaus, navies, and other places requiring compressed air for breathing have demanded purification of the breathing gas. Unlike traditional purification requirements, breathing gas is not necessarily better when drier. Its purification requirements are more nuanced.

Drying and purification of general-purpose compressed air and sterile compressed air in breweries

The general power air and sterile compressed air drying and purification requirements for breweries are as follows: 1. Dew point -23℃; 2. Dust particle size less than 0.1μm; 3. Oil-free; 4. Sterile. According to the above requirements 1-4, the general power air of the brewery only needs to be equipped with a refrigeration dryer and a primary filter to meet the requirements. However, the requirement for sterility greatly increases the workload and difficulty of purification.

Examples of automotive manufacturing plant electrostatic spraying and painting lines

The quality of car paint repair, in terms of both color and durability, is inferior to the original. More seriously, after a period of use, the repaired paint will wrinkle and become orange peel-like. The main reason is that the oil and water in the compressed air are not effectively removed, affecting the adhesion and gloss of the paint. When the car is parked outdoors and under direct sunlight, the oil and paint will slowly undergo a chemical reaction under high temperatures, causing the paint surface to shrink and wrinkle. Currently, many factories have made a commitment to paint that remains unchanged for ten years. The question of how to achieve this commitment becomes a question of how to ensure that the compressed air purification level meets the requirements.

Application areas and air grades of compressed air

Introduction to applicable industries for compressed air drying equipment

Where compressed air is used as a power source in industrial and mining enterprises, it should be dried and purified where conditions permit.

Problems caused by compressed air contamination

All compressed air in compressed air systems comes from the atmosphere, which contains a large amount of dust, water vapor, incompletely combusted hydrocarbons, and bacteria. In addition, the lubrication system of the air compressor will also produce pollutants such as wear particles and oil. This oil is acidic and is a poor quality oil that does not provide any lubrication. Corrosion of the pipelines in the compressed air distribution system will also pollute the compressed air.

Application examples of compressed air in LCD production

Mobile phone displays, various touch screens, and LCD TVs all use LCD displays. Their production process also requires a large amount of clean compressed air. Compared to general compressed air applications, the requirements for compressed gas are: 1. Low pressure dew point (-70~-100℃); 2. Small dew point fluctuation (2%-3%); 3. The system cannot contain copper.

Layout of compressed air station

The placement of compressed air stations within plants (mines) should be determined based on the following factors after technical and economic comparisons: 1. Proximity to the air consumption load center; 2. Reasonable power and water supply; 3. Possibility of expansion; 4. Avoid proximity to places emitting explosive, corrosive, and toxic gases, as well as harmful substances such as dust, and be located on the leeward side of such places with the lowest annual wind frequency; 5. The distance between the compressed air station and places with noise and vibration protection requirements should comply with the provisions of current national standards and regulations.

Heating and ventilation of compressed air station

The heating temperature in the compressed air station machinery room should not be lower than 15℃, and the temperature in the machinery room during non-working hours should not be lower than 5℃. The summer air temperature within 2m above the ground of the entire machinery room should comply with the requirements for workplaces in workshops in the current national standard GBZ1 "Industrial Enterprise Design Hygiene Standard".

Electrical, thermal, and measuring instruments and protective devices for compressed air stations

The power load level of the compressed air station should be determined according to the importance of compressed air usage by the user, in accordance with the current national "Power Supply and Distribution System Design Specification" (GB50052) load classification regulations. Except for those where interruption of compressed air would cause significant losses, it is recommended to use a Class 3 load.

Water supply and drainage for compressed air station

The production water for the compressed air station should use a single water supply, as interruption of compressed air supply would cause significant losses. The cooling water for the compressed air station should be recycled. A single-pump cooling system is recommended for the circulating water system.

Civil works for compressed air station

The height of the lower chord or bottom of the beam in the compressed air station machine room should meet the requirements of equipment disassembly, lifting, and ventilation. The net height should not be less than 4m. In hot summer and cold winter and hot summer and warm winter areas, if the machine room span is greater than 9m, it is advisable to install skylights.

Compressed air piping of the compressed air station

Compressed air pipelines should meet user requirements for compressed air flow, pressure, and quality. The needs of near-term development should also be considered. The layout of compressed air pipelines in the plant (mine) area should be determined based on comprehensive factors such as meteorological, hydrological, geological, and topographical conditions, as well as ease of construction, operation, and maintenance.

Composition and equipment layout of the compressed air station

In addition to the machine room, a utility room should be set up for the compressed air station. Its composition and area should be determined based on comprehensive factors such as the scale of the compressed air station, the type of air compressor, the maintenance system, operation management, and internal corporate collaboration conditions.

Applications in low-temperature compressed air generation

In some cases, users require low-temperature compressed air, such as for simulating high-altitude air environments, which requires -55℃ compressed air. -55℃ means that the dew point of the compressed air must be below -55℃; otherwise, the compressed air will freeze and cause ice blockage during the freezing process. Therefore, the key to this project is to lower and maintain the dew point of the compressed air below -55℃. To meet the above requirements, a modified combined dryer is used, placing the adsorption dryer in front of the refrigeration equipment. Through adsorption drying, the compressed air is dried to a pressure dew point of -60℃, ensuring that the compressed air entering the refrigeration equipment
