Layout of compressed air station
The placement of compressed air stations within a factory (mine) should be determined based on the following factors, after a technical and economic comparison:
1. Close to the air consumption load center;
2. Reasonable power and water supply;
3. Possibility of expansion;
4. Avoid locations near sources of explosive, corrosive, and toxic gases, as well as harmful substances such as dust, and locate it downwind from such locations where the wind direction frequency is lowest throughout the year;
5. The distance between the compressed air station and areas with noise and vibration protection requirements should comply with the provisions of current national standards and regulations.
The orientation of the compressed air station should allow for good natural ventilation in the machine room and minimize exposure to the western sun.
Compressed air stations equipped with reciprocating air compressors, centrifugal air compressors, or screw air compressors with a single-unit rated discharge volume greater than or equal to 20 m³/min should be independent buildings. When a compressed air station is adjacent to or located within other buildings, it should be separated by a wall, and the air compressors should be located against the outer wall. Air compressors located in multi-story buildings should preferably be placed on the ground floor.
